Dig the new Cattle Decap and Xibalba(so heaaavy) from what I've heard but definitely need to re-listen to them.

Also I like the new Circa Survive but right now I like their first three albums a lot more. This one seems a lot more melodic, maybe it's a grower.

Yeah, I've been rocking this January, amazing album. Probably gonna end up in top ten. I'm kinda pulling for them to end up on MDF, but I doubt it. Everyone compares them to Deathspell, I don't really hear it. Just because they're black metal and technical? They're a lot more proggy (and a lot less labyrinthine) than Deathspell is, or ever was.

Maybe a tad more. Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice and Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum were progressive black/death metal albums.

They still draw heavily from them.

Shit, this and new Immolation makes for a chaotic end of year/beginning of 2013.
