They should be trying to make up for it. Would you rather them just continue on with the same style? It sounds like you just want to hold a grudge against them, no matter what they do. Unfortunately a lot of fans will have that same attitude. I'm not expecting this to be an amazing album - I don't think anybody is - but from that sample it sounds decent enough for me to check out when it's released.

I want them to write a good album, not force themselves to write something that sounds like their good shit but isn't memorable. They have the ability to do so but we'll see

Just got the promo of the new album, along with Katatonia. I'm cautiously optimistic to check it out.

Levausser's return is evident in the sound. And at least Matt is starting to sound more like a death metal vocalist, as opposed to the metalcore sounding vocals on TUK. It kinda reminds me of Sven from Aborted.

Not a HUGE fan of the vocals, but they're solid. Production seems great, and some killer riffs. Sounds pretty good IMO.

The music is bad ass, I MIGHT pick this up when it comes out. The only thing holding it back is the vocals, which aren't bad, but they aren't special either.
