Bruce Springsteen -- Helsinki, Finland -- July 31st, 2012

(Source: ultimateclassicrock.com)

I know this isn't metal at all, but since there has been alot of discussion about bands' setlists being too short and/or not "deep" enough, check out this set by The Boss! Some of "our" bands could learn a thing or two from him!!

(He came out 2 hours before showtime and played an acoustic mini-set for the fans that were already in the venue)

1. ‘I’ll Work for Your Love’ (tour debut)
2. ‘Leap of Faith’ (tour debut)
3. ‘No Surrender’
4. ‘For You’
5. ‘Blinded by the Light’ (tour debut)

Main Set

1. ‘Rockin’ All Over the World’ (tour debut)
2. ‘Night’
3. ‘Out in the Street’
4. ‘Loose Ends’
5. ‘We Take Care of Our Own’
6. ‘Prove It All Night’
7. ‘Wrecking Ball’
8. ‘Death to My Hometown’
9. ‘My City of Ruins’
10. ‘Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?’
11. ‘Be True’
12. ‘Jack of All Trades’
13. ‘Downbound Train’
14. ‘Because the Night’
15. ‘Lonesome Day’
16. ‘Darlington County’
17. ‘Light of Day’
18. ‘Shackled and Drawn’
19. ‘Waitin’ On a Sunny Day’
20. ‘Back in Your Arms’ (tour debut)
21. ‘The Rising’
22. ‘Badlands’
23. ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’
24. ‘We Are Alive’
25. ‘Born in the U.S.A.’
26. ‘Born to Run’
27. ‘Detroit Medley’ (tour debut)
28. ‘Glory Days’
29. ‘Dancing in the Dark’
30. ‘Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out’
31. ‘I Don’t Want to Go Home’ (with Southside Johnny) (tour debut)
32. ‘Higher and Higher’ (tour debut)
33. ‘Twist And Shout’

Not too bad for a 63-year-old dude!
7/30 Deep Purple
8/22 AC/DC
9/5 J. Geils Band

I'll be the first to admit I really don't know a whole lot of Bruce, but I will say I think his Superbowl Halftime performance was the last really great halftime show.

I HATE Bruce and the E-Street band, The Silver Bullet Band (Bob Seger) is way better

Anyway, this is one long ass setlist though. He does switch it up quite alot which is nice for the fans.

Old friend of mine seen him for the third time in Dublin recently, and said about a third of the set was stuff he hadn't seen before, real deep cuts. The show was great apparently, and there were solo spots all over the shop, basically if a player felt like taking a little longer on a particular solo, they could, the whole band are super tight and it's genuinely not just Bruce who gets center stage. I do know his band are not to be snuffed at anyway though, he has a powerhouse of funk, jazz and rock session players, most of which have been with him for years and years.
Yesterday don't mean SHIT.

I was going to say that Rush's set is about 27 songs and they total about 2 hours and 40 minutes of playing time so how could adding 6 extra songs add another 90 minutes to the set? But I can see how if there are solos all over the place. That is too amazing for sure!
