This is the only post in this thread that got even the slightest reaction out of me. I smirked when I read this, because I used to live in Indiana for two years, and you likely have no idea how fucking right you are about this. Elkhart in particular is an armpit in the middle of a big fucking cornfield.

As far as the quoted article and incident, why is anybody surprised in the least? This isn't even news, really. Many artists are fucked up people, and fucked up people tend to attract other fucked up people as mates. Fucked up people sometimes do fucked up shit like get drunk and hit each other. Sometimes, unfortunately, it happens in front of a child. Sad, but not at all surprising.

This all seems a little weird. Charlie has a bandage on his head and blood on his shirt while his wife looks totally fine in the mugshots. This is a really minor thing, but I really don't think he would have wanted to get his kid involved if he could help it. When I met him a few months back he was crazy nice and was happy to answer my nerdy Anthrax questions and kept calling me and the other kid I was with "heavy metal's future." That and the Lady Gaga anecdote on the BM page is giving me an image of a guy that really loves seeing kids have fun (I've never seen anyone involve kids with a show the way that he did at the Metal Masters Clinic). I honestly think that his wife might have just flipped out or something. Who knows though, Nat could be right and he could just be crazy- I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Well this is an interesting side to this story, it explains the bandage and blood on Charlie. Still too early to really have a concrete opinion, but if this is true then Charlie really played it smart by not retaliating.
