Hell no. I think it was another strong release from them. The use of his midrange screams were great and I felt like it really added to the album. The tone of the album itself reminded me of Catacombs with it's higher use of middle eastern instruments.

Someone complained on my facebook that it wasn't the Nile they grew to know from Sacrfice and Iphallic(sp) and that made me think that this was gonna be terrible but I think the kid was just on drugs./

Yeah the new Nile was pretty bad. Some parts seriously sound like they just made them up as they were recording. And Dallas's "clean" vocals or whatever the hell they are... ewwwwww. There are some really cool parts scattered throughout the album but that's about it.

Anyway, top 10 as of now:

1. Dying Fetus - Reign Supreme
2. Asphyx - Deathhammer
3. Black Breath - Sentenced to Life
4. Cattle Decapitation - Monolith of Inhumanity
5. Aborted - Global Flatline
6. Cannibal Corpse - Torture
7. Goatwhore - Blood for the Master
8. Cardiac Arrest - Vortex of Violence
9. Overkill - The Electric Age
10. Horrendous - The Chills

I keep forgetting to listen to this. It has been on my list since before it even came out, but I never remember to check it out.

Your opinion has been voided because of the second sentence.

Gave Periphery another shot, listened to some songs on Periphery II and they just ain't my thing. I find their music to be empty. I know there is talent there but oh well. To each their own. Still don't get what they're doing on Summer Slaughter.
