They've played the same staples so many times that they do it without any excitement and sort of sloppily rush through them. I hate the new songs they play. And the old ones that they pull out are under rehearsed because they never keep a steady set, which I thought was kinda cool but the set suffers.
And there is a difference between a china cymbal and a ride cymbal, Lars.
I'm assuming you are referring to Escape atleast. I made that same comment to Manky on Facebook that he wanted to be the hell done w/ that song so bad. He seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else than doing that song.

That's part of it but it was a general statement.
That was lame, makes you wonder why they would do the Ride The Lightning thing in the first place. Oh yeah, the money.
Also, no Baroness/Torche/Suicidal streaming makes me a sad panda.

Keep in mind, even if they were to stream either of their performances, they could've only shown one because they were playing at the same time (I know this only because of my failed plans of going ).

I was there, had a total blast. The festival grounds were extremely well laid-out and just about everyone sounded great. All the Metallica sightings were fun, like Hetfield going nuts watching Torche and Rob Trujillo sticking around for most of the Sword's set. One of the best-organized fests I've ever attended. I'm just not in a rush to go back to Atlantic City.

I gained more respect for Metallica again.
