Warped Tour -- Pomona, CA -- June 22nd, 2012

Warped Tour? More like Pop Punk Mania!

A couple of things first. Online it said doors open at 11:30am well they opened prior to that and bands started at 11am. I missed Hyro Da Hero and came in to listen to the end of Polar Bear Clubs set. Also bands obviously played at same time so I missed the likes of ETID(chose Anti-Flag havenít seen em in forever), Senses Fail, The Used, Man Overboard, part of Four Year Strong, etc. Well here are my thoughts of who I did see in the pit. I caught part of FYS and all of NFG from a distance cuz I was exhausted when they played.

Ghost Inside was the first band I saw and goddamn is this band amazing live, so much damn energy. There was constant moshing, crowd surfers, and jumping. Singer gave a speech about ridding the mentality of being afraid to fail and dedicated Greater Distance to LA Kings and started a Go Kings! chant. Also they played Destined!!! My fav song by them. Pretty cool, dedicated this song to his good friend and his wife cuz he missed their wedding due to constant touring. This was my fav band of the day.

Anti-Flag was the next band and they kicked ass. Huge circle pit during their set and during Die For Your Government I have never seen so much crowdsurfers in my life. During the last song of the set the drummer came into the crowd with part of his kit and played in the crowd. Fun catchy music here.

Title Fight was simply awesome live! I need to learn all the lyrics from them cuz I feel like I was the only person who wasnít singing every word. No clue they had such a following but the crowd ate them up. Also Jeremy from Touche Amore came out during 27 and sang part of it.

Transit was a good change of pace. Not much movement but still fun to sing their catchy songs. During Please, Head North and Stay Home people did go crazy though. During Stay Home the singer said he was gonna join us for this song and he did. Sang half the song running left to right on the rail and the other half crowdsurfing with the mic putting into peeps faces.

I finished my day with Tacking Back Sunday. I really dug their set for how long it was. Crowd fucking loved this band. Movement such as mosh push and jumping throughout their whole set. Plenty of crowdsurfers as well. They werenít one of the final headliners so I was able to beat traffic. Yay!

A couple of notes, all bands did signings but I didnít go to any. I did however run into a couple of band members and just said hi. They were Keith Buckley( my friend got a hug!), Jordan Pundik, and bassist of NFG. Also the amount of tweens is ridiculous, them and their Pierce the Veil and Falling in Reverse tees. So much cool tees on sale like NFG had CM Punk like shirt that had the straight edge arms on front and Best in the World NFG on the back. All tees ran from $10-$20, not bad. Overall I had a great time singing my ass off and Iíd give all the bands I saw in the pit a 10/10 cuz they were all a blast. AND if youíre a Pop Punk fan go to this yearís Warped Tour!!!

Missed all of Man Overboard and PBC? ;_;

edit: I'm super okay with that NFG set, although I'd love for them to pull out At Least I'm Known For Something or Failure's Not Flattering
