So, what was the purpose of this show?

Why do you think that? Do you think it's a bad song, or that Machine Head could do it no justice? Personally, I think it's one of the best rock songs of all time.

Do shows need purpose? Can't bands simply have a good time?

I don't think MH could've done Everlong good.

Honestly, I didn't think so, either. They posted clips on Blabbermouth, though, and it actually wasn't too bad. The SoaD cover was pretty good, too.

I don't care much for Machine Head but that's a pretty cool show concept. I wish more bands did stuff like that. Looked at one of the videos briefly and it seems like there's quite a few people for it being a 'secret' gig though.

Really cool concept for a show and a really diverse set of covers. Kudos to Machine Head for doing this.
