Almost made the drive down to Portland to see my favorite band, but didn't since it was just a week before finals. Kinda wish I would have though because this set is pretty amazing...

I saw Mogwai back in 08 w/ FUCK BUTTONS opening. Fuck Buttons destroyed Mogwai personally. Sigur Ros though will forever be the best post rock ive witnessed live and ive seen Explosions/Godspeed as well.

The last couple times Mogwai has tried to play Vancouver since the newist album came out they've had visa problems

Pretty sure they played Vancouver the day before this Portland show...

hm, you're right! they did have a date, wasnt sure if they made it or not. I think a friend of mine had tickets the last time they were schedualed to play but the Visa issues were a problem. I also know they cancelled the Sasquatch performance right near these dates too.
