I would say if you don't have the first six Black Sabbath albums Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master Of Reality, Vol 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage you should get on top of that right away. They are the ones who started it all when it comes to heavy metal.

The first four Metallica albums and the first five albums Iron Maiden did with Bruce Dickinson The Number Of The Beast, Peice Of Mind, Powerslave, Somewhere In Time and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son are also essential.

Considering i've been listening to metal longer than a lot of these fucks here have been alive, I believe I know what i'm talking about
