Van Halen -- Kansas City, MO -- May 22nd, 2012

A couple days late, but oh well.

SO... I have never had a birthday start so good, then turn so shitty, then turn sooo good. So a couple of friends, my friends dad, and his drunk ass friend, and I get to the Sprint Center at about 7:00-7:30, and at this point it was pretty shitty. And while waiting in line, the drunk guy that was with us pisses all over himself, and gets banned. After convincing my friend that we have to leave him (after all, he's a fucking adult who should have better control over himself) we go inside. We wander around for a few minutes and finally decide to go to our seats, waaay in the back and up top. On the way there, my dads friend decides he will meet us later. So we get to the top floor and I'll be a soon of a bitch. They were upgrading our sections seats. But we needed to find his dad....and after looking for about 10 minutes, we decided to screw it. So we go up there again and after slyly bringing it up that it was my birthday, we got upgraded to THE FLOOR,16th ROW!!!
It was incredible, I haven't had this much fun at a show in a long time
Kool and The Gang was absolutley badass it was really fun. Everyone was singing and dancing and you can tell everyone was digging them. Well most everyone.
As for Van Halen, again, it was incredible
Dave was just as cocky as I have heard, and at one point he went of on some girl in the crowd for making fun of him everyone sounded tight and Eddie was absolutely fantastic. and some guy next to me bought me a beer I had a blast, it was easily one of my best birthdays ever

set may be a smidge out of order and I may be missing a song or 2

Unchained
Running With The Devil
She's The Woman
Tattoo
Everybody Wants Some
Somebody Get Me A Doctor
China Town
Hear About It Later
Pretty Woman
--Drum Solo--
You Really Got Me
The Trouble With Never
Dance The Night Away
I'll Wait
And The Cradle Will Rock
Hot For Teacher
Women In Love
Beautiful Girls
Ice Cream Man
Panama
--Eruption/ Badass guitar solo--
Ain't Talking About Love
Jump(At the end there was a giant confetti explosion and Dave was waving a huge checkered flag!)

Thanks guys for helpin me fix the set!

Badass you got upgraded. Especially to 16th row. Didn't know that sales were that low in KC. Paper said around 8,500 people. I assumed it'd be higher than that.

I've seen some things, man. And some stuff. I wouldn't recommend it.

Girl Gone Bad wasn't played.

And The Cradle Will Rock was played for the 2nd time this tour, after I'll Wait. Then...Hot For Teacher, Women In Love & Beautiful Girls.

8,500 was a definite low end estimate. 11,000 is more like it.
