Yeah, it generally doesn't for most people. Particularly iPod plays, for most people it's pretty much random hit-or-miss whether iTunes will acknowledge them at any given time.

Been in a prog mood lately, low numbers because I just got a new computer a couple months ago.

Well, this is a little silly for me since my itunes only records my iPod plays since I hate it in terms of using it to play music on my computer... and my iTunes crashed and reset about 6 months ago, and since my iPod crashes and needs to be restored about 50% of the times that I plug it in ... you get the idea . The most played song has a grand total of 17 plays.
