If I saw that they were playing Ciel Errant on this tour and then not getting it at my show, I would cry.

saw them tonight in Brooklyn. they were very good, but the vocals were a bit too low in the mix. Public Assembly is also an embarrassment of a venue...can you say firetrap?

same setlist i believe. I think they need a bit more diversity in their setlists, and in their catalogue in general. everything kinda started to just blend together at some points in the show. Playing some more of the older material that is more evil would help obviously

Deafheaven were pretty damn good as well.

This was an incredible show, started around 10pm with an opening band. The Northstar bar (while in a shady area) is a great, small place to see a concert. I haven't been there since I saw Chevelle several years ago. Good people and bar. Deafheaven were pretty well received by the crowd. I've been dying to see Alcest live, and they did not disappoint. It took about 2 songs to get the sound right. Only bummer was that there were no medium shirts of any type for Alcest. Even casual fans should try to catch them while they are in the states.

Bump, what type of merch was for sale? Specifically, any Vinyl, especially older albums, or any patches? Shirts, too?

Exclusive tour shirts and a huge array of CD's. No vinyl unfortunately. I didn't really take a good look at the prices or if they had patches or other stuff since I was buying from the opening band instead.
