I'm not a fan of Barney era Napalm but I enjoyed Utilitarian. The production is crisp and some of the shit gets really chaotic.

I got a kick out of listening to cuts from the Morbid Angel remix album last night . I'm gonna listen the new CoC now and probably get around to Pallbearer and Asphyx some time soon. I heard a little under 20 albums so far this year.

New Top 10 (2/26):

1. Classics of Love - Classics of Love
2. Van Halen - A Different Kind of Truth
3. Cloud Nothings - Attack on Memory
4. Goatwhore - Blood For the Master
5. Corrosion of Conformity - Corrosion of Conformity
6. Napalm Death - Utilitarian
7. Terrorizer - Hordes of Zombies
8. Semargl - Satanic Pop Metal
9. Alcest - Les Voyage De La'Me
10. The Menzingers - On the Impossible Past

The new Asphyx destroys. Tried listening to the new Terrorizer and Naplam Death but got bored a couple of songs into Terrorizer and just went back to Asphyx.

So far my favorite record this year is IV by Loma Prieta.

I haven't listened to the new The Saddest Landscape, but I am really getting into their 2010 release and I am sure the new one is just as good.

new Saddest Landscape is very good. I'm not sure how it compares to their older stuff though

man, I loved that Loma release on first listen, but now they kinda annoy me The noise/screamo blend doesn't really do it for me

I gave Loma a try, but wasn't really feeling it. Kind of like... Converge, without the brutality? Really whiny almost. I'll give it another try soon enough. I'm sure they're gonna be cool live.

I don't think they sound like Converge or sound whiny at all
