Yeah, he's playing one month from today near me. I think I am going to go. He's a great guitarist. Unfortunately I am not familiar with any of his solo work. But for $15 it might be worth checking out.

Definitely man. I don't have his solo albums yet either, but he smokes live. He's playing a pretty rocking set too. Kind of like the anti-set to the last couple of Crowes tours, which have been quite soft.

The Black Crowes are on 'hiatus.' Similar to what they did in 2001. Chris Robinson went off and did New Earth Mud, and Rich did a solo record called Paper.

This time-around, Chris started the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. They're very Dead-esque.

Rich put out his second solo album called Through a Crooked Sun. It's great blues-rock.

Being a die-hard Crowes fan, I am into both projects. Between the two, I prefer what Rich is doing just because its harder rock. Of course, that is only comparable speaking between the two.

Anyhow, I'll be hitting the Rich show in NYC, and maybe the Asbury Park and Philly shows.

EDIT: The Black Crowes have an amazing setlist database here: www.crowesbase.com

To quote Rich when I spoke to him on Thursday, "we haven't drawn a line under it either way."
