I have to admit that I'm a pretty big Meshuggah fanboy, but I'm not sure what to think about this one. It's a bit repetitive and slow, which is probably what's provoking all the "boring" comments and the like. I get that.

It IS pretty brutally heavy, though. I have a feeling it might be somewhat of a sleeper when played live. In other words, I thought Lethargica was pretty boring until they played it live in Chicago a few years ago, and now I realize how fucking awesome it really is.

This might end up being a similar track. Who knows.

I fully expect the album as a whole to rock fucking balls, though. I just can't see them doing a whole album's worth of songs like this one. It's an interesting departure, but I have faith that the bangers are coming, as The Tony has prophesied.

That middle part of Lethargica = the heaviest song ever fucking made. Never boring.

Didn't hate it. I think it would be a lot better if it were like ~4 minutes.

Lol maybe this is what Meshuggah needs: http://www.theprp.com/2012/02/10/new...shuggah-songs/

Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri has taken to his Twitter to express his apparent Meshuggah love. He stated:

“I would love to sing over a bunch of Meshuggah songs…”

Yeah, "meh". It's good enough, I don't expect to be disappointed by this album but I don't expect to be blown away either.

C'mon, man.
Let me put it this way... I can only enjoy a few of those songs unless I'm in the mood for Meshuggah.

Same thing, with the title and lyrics here
