Way to be flippant while missing the point entirely.

Using the plural of guest for a single band, without preceding with "a", is just correct grammar.

Besides which, the press release accompanying the line-up announcement says "a major special guest." While that is arguably incorrect grammar, they are clearly incdicating it will be one band.

If it means longer set times / less standing out in the ridiculous heat feeling like throwing up on the next kid wearing a Whitechapel shirt, I don't see an issue.

Actually, it doesn't. They're doing one less stage this year. So the sets will be the same amount of time and you will be there for just as long, there just won't be as many bands playing.
