Since this was pretty much like the earlier sets on here I wasn't going to bother posting, but holy shit. Let me start by saying I've gone to the last 4 In Flames US tours, and I was at the show the other night in Baltimore as well, and this was a terrible performance. Saturday Anders mentioned he was sick and you could tell in a few spots of the performance, but it was a whole different game tonight.

I would say up through Swim his voice was holding up somewhat, screaming at least, but after that it was over. For the rest of the night you could not even hear half the lyrics, and the chorus' were just basically nothing followed by a scream at the end. It actually would have sounded better if he just stopped trying because it seemed at that point it was just getting in the way of the rest of the music.

At least Anders seemed to know how bad he was as he kept talking about how hes trying his best, and at some points he just threw his mic down, but my god...I really wish they just saved me the time and money that I spent by cancelling the show or letting trivium play more.

Sad. And they even cut out Delight and Angers, the setlist's getting even poorer.

I'm sorry to hear about Anders' vocals being poor; he was fine if not very good when I saw In Flames in October. Though I'm a casual fan and didn't know a lot of the songs played, he seemed to be executing them well, so no complaints here!

Yeah both times I've seen In Flames they were awesome (they were marginally worse last year at Mayhem than they were when I saw them headline in 09 with BTBAM, 3 Inches of Blood, and The Faceless). Sucks to hear that Anders was off the mark last night.

Their alt-metal/more mainstream modern stuff is actually OK, I think. My first album of theirs was Come Clarity, so even though their direction into a more mainstream style of metal is evident to me, I really don't mind. I didn't hate SOAPF at all.

Their newer stuff is decent (minus A Sense Of Purpose that record sucks), but I completely fucking love their old stuff. Clayman was my first and (still) favorite record of theirs. Live it doesn't matter that much because the new stuff sounds a lot better than on record and is almost as good as the old stuff in a live environment.
