I think South Of Heaven makes an awesome opener.

On an album...yes. But live, a lot of people were thinking WTF?? Myself included.

You need something heavy to start off a set. Disciple, Raining Blood, Hell Awaits and War Ensemble all work a treat

South of heaven is a great opener indeed. The slow beginning is just awesome. Saw them last week, they opened also with this song

I've seen Slayer 3 times live. First in 2001, then twice in 2004. I think they kicked ass all three times, but at Ozzfest it was daylight and they seemed off. Also someone pissed Tom off in the crowd, so he was off from that. The best time I've seen them though was on the Jagermeister 2004 Tour. Great set I thought!!

And South Of Heaven isn't heavy? I do believe you mean something fast.

This band should take a chance and try opening with Angel of Death, after the song ends we see how many real Slayer fans there are.

Yes I did mean fast, I really look like a twat now lol.

Yeah I agree, get AOD, war ensemble, raining blood and SOH out the way first and see who sticks around. Weezer do something similar at their gigs
