I wasn't familiar at all with her previous work (Helium, and a few solo albums), but yeah, she's amazing. She completely blew me away when I saw them live, especially in the extended jam sessions during "Glass Tambourine" and "Racehorse." And seeing Janet's drumming in person was just fucking incredible.

Word to most of that, especially Titus Andronicus. Identical sentiment from me. Would have been HIGH on last year's list had I heard it.

As someone who likes Wu-Tang Clan and Fugazi but hates every mashup act I've ever heard, should I check out 13 Chambers?

I wouldn't have said that at all. She's massively popular amongst the chart/pop music buying public here.

Absolutely. It works SO well. RZA putting down a verse over the riff from "Waiting Room?" C'mon.
