seeing Onslaught would be awesome on its own, but seeing Mpire Of Evil also makes it so much better. Probably the closest I'll get to seeing Venom for a long time and probably of equal, if not better quality, than the Venom show would be.

Interesting, I feel a little embarrassed right now and also feel like kicking myself in the face right now because I have never heard of Mpire of Evil,

I Love Onsalught, Evil dead and Venom, but I have never in my life heard of Mpire of Evil? I would assume from the way of your post that they do Venom Covers aswell(since the majority of the band is made up of the original members from when venom started?)? if so this show is a pretty much sealed-done-deal for me. no ifs, or buts.

They do Venom covers live from what I've heard. They also cover AC/DC, Judas Priest, Kiss, & Motorhead on their EP along with a few pretty good originals. I had never heard of them before I first heard about this tour, so don't feel bad haha.

Interesting. I would be going crazy if I heard them do covers of "Buried alive", "Black Metal", "In League with Satan", "Witching Hour" and Soooo much more. This is probably the closest I will get to seeing Venom. I was all up for the awesomeness of Evil dead and Onslaught but uhhhh i ain't gonna lie, man......I'm a little more excited to see MpireofEvil than all the other bands NOW that I know who they really are.

Mpire of Evil is Venom cover band with only 1 original member They hijacked the name in 1989 I believe and did 1 album and tour with scabs.

Then you should pay more attention. I've been talking about them for about two months.

The whole band is ex (not necessarily original) Venom members. It's Tony Dolan, the guy who sang for three (very good) albums in the '90s when Cronos was out, on vocals and bass, Antton on drums (Cronos's brother) and Mantas on guitar.

EP is two originals and four classic rock/metal covers, of which only one is really good. The originals are excellent. Album due next year.

Cronos = True Venom

Wrong. They didn't take the name, Cronos left to form his solo band. Actually, Mantas had already left at that point as well, but came back once he knew Cronos was out. So yeah, they "toured with scabs", only two original members of Venom The Mpire of Evil singer/bassist did three albums with them between '89 and '92. All of which are good. The drummer, Antton, was in the band between 2000 and 2008, also recording three albums.
