Pfft... Dude. Jump in the Fire is nothing special, but Metal Militia kicks all kinds of ass. Sure, the lyrics are over the top, but it's METAL! If you don't like over the top lyrics, why are you listening to metal?

Looks like I have to find a way to obtain a ticket for one of these shows and fly down to San Francisco. I hope St. Anger gets represented during this four night stand at the Fillmore.

Where the wild things are is dark and atmospheric, bothi things that Metallica doesn't really do.

I would imagine quite a lot of people, since it's a damn good song.
I consider it the poor man's "One."

Your point? Whether they care or not, doesn't alter the fact that both those songs, and the majority of the rest of that album in fact, contain most of Metallica's worst lyrics of their career, regardless of how good some of the music is. That's not an idiotic statement to make in the slightest. It's just true. Whether the fans at the shows care about that is here nor there.

Seriously, some of you people say some of the dumbest shit sometimes.

Am I the only one that thinks Metal Militia is just about tied with Escape for worst Metallica song off the first four records?

Can't say I've ever ranked them per se, but... let's say you may not be alone.

Escape kicks ass. It holds up a lot better than For Whom The Bell Tolls.
