You just further proved my point.. and didn't grasp the last one I made. Where did I say the grammys exemplified greatness?

What one classifies as being good isn't gonna be the same as the next guy, or the next, or the next. Different strokes for different folks dude, that's the beauty of music. Also, unless it's before 1986/09/27, I would go to a Jethro show over Metallica. Metallica sucks, it's all about the Cliff Burton Band. Justice was OK though.

Plus when bands finally win(Slayer, Motorhead, Priest) its usually something stupid like a live track or a cover

No it didn't. Skrillex being nominated for a Grammy has absolutely nothing to do with greatness. Jethro Tull winning a Grammy doesn't either. How many people think "Crest of a Knave" is the best metal album released in 1987? (or 1989? What?) Just because some asshole gets up on a soapbox and says "this album is great, the best!" doesn't mean anything... it's just some asshole on a soapbox spewing bullshit.

Yes, it did. Some of you folks on here really are quite dim....

This started with you trying to say I don't listen to Tool for "the right reasons" cause Aenema is my least favorite album. My next comment was "Greatness is a matter of opinion friend. If greatness had a scientific way of being determined do you think Skrillex would be nominated for 5 Grammys? " which somehow you interpreted as me saying the grammys are a good judge of greatness... My point had nothing to do with the grammys, it was just used as an example that what is "good/great" varies from person to person. I could have used many other examples but the grammys just came to mind the fastest cause like you said, they suck at judging music (although there are a handful of folks that are worthy of nomination).

Does that clear things up? Or do I need to further dumb it down?

Also, I wasn't trolling, I can't stand Metallica past And Justice. That's the honest truth. If you like any albums past Justice your listening to Metallica for all the wrong reasons. (see what I did there?)
