If it wasn't for hanging out with Last Chance To Reason and Scale the Summit after the show, I would have done the same. Not because of Protest, but because of the snow.

Scale The Summit killed it last night, they really did. Hearing two songs off Carving Desert Canyons and the best of The Collective was perfect. That's why I was so happy to hear they are headining soon.

I mentioned it in the What Are You Doing Thread. but I just got word from Evan and Mike from last Chance To Reason, They wanna do an interview for my radio show. SCOOOOOOOOORE!

Once I hear back from him, Chris from Scale The Summit might be on board to do one in February.

At The State Theater? I was there too. Met Scale The Summit for the first time.

They are one of the most refreshing bands going right now. They actually care about musicality and Melodies and Harmonies. Not being Brutal. It's so great to hear.

Orpheum, close enough though since they're across the street from each other.

I met STS as well got both my CDs signed, cool guys. At the Wisconsin show I met Pettruci, Rudess, LaBrie, and Myung. Got a picture with all of them, even Myung.

D'oh that's what I meant. I can tell it's 20 to 6 right now. haha

At the Minnesota show I met Petrucci by the bus and saw Jordan and Myung walk by. James and Portnoy where nowhere to be seen.

The year before I met Portnoy at Ellis Drum Shop and got 3 pictures with him amongst my signed Portnoy snare and other stuff. After meeting my biggest influence, I haven't been scared to meet a musician since.

Luckily in my case Zappa is the only one that had the biggest impact on me that is no longer here. It doesn't help I was 5 when he died either.

*And I'm one of the older guys here, not the oldest by a long shot, but in the top 10 or less*

Always nice to meet a fellow Zappa fan. Hopefully a show comes up that we both want to go to in the near future.

You going to Umphrey's McGee? That's the closest thing to metal I'll be going to for a while.
