Motörhead -- Stuttgart, Germany -- November 27th, 2011

First, the setlist:

1. Bomber
2. Damage Case
3. I Know How to Die
4. Stay Clean
5. Metropolis
6. Over the Top
7. One Night Stand
-Guitar Solo-
8. The Chase Is Better Than the Catch
9. Get Back In Line
10. I'll Be Your Sister
11. The One To Sing the Blues (w/ Drum Solo)
12. Orgasmatron
13. Going to Brazil
14. Killed by Death
15. Iron Fist
---------------------
16. Whorehouse Blues
17. Ace of Spades
18. Overkill

A really cool setlist. I had never seen the two new songs, Orgasmatron, The One To Sing The Blues, I'll Be Your Sister, The Chase, or Damage Case before. Lemmy said it was only the third time they'd ever played Sister. I don't know if he meant on this tour or ever. The band was spot on and gave a really good performance. I thought Phil's guitar solo was surprisingly really good. Not too much to say about this show, probably not one of my better ones due to the crowd.

It was one of "those groups" that make being in the front nearly unbearable sometimes. I get that there's gonna be a crowd crush but it sucks when you're in pain for half the set, it really distracts you from the band. I felt bad for the dad and his (20 year old) son who got rail but were forced to leave because it was too painful. The venue was HUGE for Motorhead. I've only seen them in clubs in the States but this was the same venue where Maiden played this past summer. Only the floor was open but it was still a huge floor so I'm sure that was one reason the crush was so bad. I feel bad that this was my second and last concert in Germany and I didn't enjoy it more but what can I say? It's tough to have a great time when you can't hardly get enough breath to sing along. Still glad I got to go though.

They've always played bigger places in Europe than the US. They play to 5,000 in London every year.

I never go front row for Motorhead. The sound is appalling and the crowds are retarded. As I found the first time I saw them in Folkestone in 2002. Not surprised you had people leaving the rail to go further back.

Good that you could actually hear Phil though. That's often the biggest problem with their sound.

Dammit Lemmy, drop Metropolis and play a song from your new album in its place. This is your best album in 7 years in you're shortchanging it. Born to Lose, Bye Bye Bitch Bye Bye, Outlaw, Brotherhood of Man, any of these would be better.

They started the European tour playing Born To Lose but they dropped it for The One To Sing The Blues. I really like both sings so I don't mind the trade-off.

I've seen them twice already and never had problems with the sound, nor the "retarded" crowd.

A bit on the whining side, are we?
