I'm a little bit uncomfortable making the comparison, since one is a tech-death outfit and the other is a progressive thrash band. Kinda apples-and-oranges to me. Both are certainly awesome. Maybe I'll vote later.

Although I haven't heard the new one, Revocation to me definitely is NOT progressive thrash. In fact, they're kind of an amalgamation of several old-school genres done in an old-school kickass kind of way.

Revocation definitely isn't tech death. They are much closer to thrash then death.

Besides, my primary point was that I think the albums and bands are somewhat different from each other - making them difficult to compare - and I stand by that observation.

I don't consider Revocation thrash. They are more death then thrash, but both albums are pretty technical.
