Took me a while to get around to this, but here it is. TUI put ona great show as always, and the venue was packed. Really small venue (Underworld), but the place was filled close to capacity. I bet Terror will sell it out later this month. None of the other bands impressed me much. Backtrack was ok, and I thought Take Offense was pretty good. Some thrashy, fast riffs for hardcore, a la Terror. Pretty good set, I thought. Good mix of their 2 full lengths, and their EP. I think the 'Big Kiss Goodnight' songs sounded beter live than they do on the CD.

Vids suck. Place was packed so I filmed from the back, didn;t wanna take my cam near the front and have it knocked outta my hand or something. Will risk that for Terror in a couple weeks though

Man, I love Take Offense and Backtrack also. Hopefully I can hit up this show; the problem is I think all my friends are gonna be out of town and I'd have to drive an hour up to Cleveland by myself. Would love to see that set, though.

And I'm baffled on why they don't close with Street Lights. So heavy.

Oh come on, only an hour??!! Of all the shows I go to, MTL is the closest and it's 70 miles. An hour is cake!

I agree, Street Lights is a sick song.

I agree, Street Lights is a sick song.

The problem isn't really the length of the ride, but the fact that I'd be going alone. There's always the possibility I could get hurt. And I'm not sure if my mom would be okay with me doing that.

I mean, I could fight her into letting me go, but would it be worth the trouble? Whatever. Hopefully my little brother is home so I have an excuse to go.

I assume you'll be smart enough to stand on the side near the front? And get a side-view almost to catch all the diving action?

I understand, man. I don't mosh, so I don't have much to worry about. Truth be told, I don't mind going by myself. Gives me time alone w/ my thoughts, no work to piss me off, no girlfriend to badger me, etc.

Fuck yeah. That's what I tentatively plan on doing. On a positive note, Montreal crowds aren't usually as violent as many cities I've been to shows in. More metal style moshing, people just moving around and hockey and football style hitting. None of the karate crap, which is more dangerous IMO.

Nice set. And Take Offense and Backtrack are good too. I kind of regret missing this show, but I'm trying to save money. I don't think I'm even going to go to Mayhem.

Understandable. I spent so much on shows in '09, ugh. I was such a dumbass.

And you're right, man. Not going to Mayhem is definately a good way to save. Tix for that tour ain't cheap.
