Maquinaria Festival -- Santiago, Chile -- November 12th, 2011

Well this is the second year of this Festival which brought last year to Linkin Park, Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age and Cavalera Conspiracy among other bands of different genres...and the next day RATM, The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies.

This Year the bands below from 17:30pm to forward, played this, in that order...before were chilean bands and Duff McKagan's band.

Lame set of Megadeth, but all the people that went to the festival, really enjoyed the whole day...Tomorrow will be a little more, open-minded....Primus, Snoop Dogg, Sonic Youth, Stone Temple Pilots among others!

I'd give my left nut to see King For a Day in it's entirety. Seriously one of the best albums ever.

I don't know but people that went, said it was awesome by far the best band of the festival, of course FNM loves Chile..that's why they gave us the whole KFAD and play here two dates in 2009, last year in december and this year also, 4 times in 3 years..I'm not sure but last year show was recorded for a DVD.

I didn't go because I've seen Megadeth three times, and I'm not very much into the rest of the bands, I'm saving money to pay the debt of my college, and for the 2012 concerts.

One thing I forgot to mention, King For A Day was played with Trey Spruance on guitars, just a guest for this show!

Great Alice in Chains set also. Cornell is a head scratcher and Megadave is done in my eyes. If they headlined with that shitty set after the epicness listed here they suck royally. By far the worst Megadave setlist I've ever seen. I think I would have fallen asleep...

That's what i'm not understanding about Megadeth. AIC and FNM put on those sets and then they come out and do just that? I can't believe that seeing other bands do sets like that doesn't inspire Dave to select better songs to play. I've been defending Megadeth and their sets since I joined here but I can't justify doing that anymore.

That AIC set is fantastic.

Also, FNM didn't do anything off The Real Thing

Was doing King For A Day in full just something they decided to do for the hell of it?

As I said before, they truly love Chile...and a few months earlier one of the guys in his personal twitter announced the performance of an entire FNM album on this show, and a days later he confirmed KFAD with Trey on guitars..so the people knew what to expect, but Absolute Zero a B-side, I guess they don't haha...Just a Man finale was awesome people told me and I read, with a choir of 15 people and fireworks afterwards the end of the show.

As much as I like The Real Thing I wouldn't be able to complain if they were doing King For a Day in it's entirety. The songs they chose for the encore are fitting, if they played Epic or Falling to Pieces after King For a Day in it's entirety it would be weird.
