Why the fuck would you want to hear Ozzy butcher Die Young or The Shining?

I'm not holding my breath for the new album, I have a feeling it won't be great. I'd go see them live though definitely.
I love inside jokes, I'd love to be a part of one some day.

Well that was lame.

And got the day they're playing Download wrong. Metallica are playing Saturday. Sabbath are playing Sunday.

Also, I'll believe a new Sabbath album when I'm holding it in my hands.

I really want to jump for joy over this, but I just can't. To be honest, this is barely 1/10th as exciting as the metal press is making it out to be. The Sabbath reunion wore out its welcome in 2001. I still love the live Reunion album but they all sounded old and tired back then, and that was 12 years ago.
and the singing dies down for just a second, right? Long enough for my dad to go "This is how they used to transport the Jews!"

I refuse to get excited about this until I see US dates!

Well I am sure as fuck excited. I got into metal in '06, so I never got the chance to see Sabbath. They're pretty much the only "big" legendary metal band I have yet to see, so I am pumped.

Think about that for a second. Every vocalist Sabbath's had since Ozzy first left has been a vastly superior singer. Do you really wanna hear Ozzy, who's never been a good live singer in the first place, attempt something from Dio, Gillian, Hughes or Martin? It would be a disaster.

Plus, most people going to these shows don't know Sabbath existed without Ozzy anyway so what's the point? When they first reunited back in 1998 they did rehearse Heaven & Hell with Ozzy but dropped it because Ozzy absolutley stunk at singing it.

There's no reason anybody should have a problem with them only doing the Ozzy stuff. Their first six albums, I believe is the greatest six album streak in metal history, so there should be no complaints over focusing on the original lineups discography.
