Foo Fighters -- Philadelphia, PA -- November 10th, 2011

First time seeing Foo Fighters. I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of theirs, but I gotta say, they rocked pretty hard. They played for 2 hrs 45 mins. The arena was packed, including the sections behind the stage. Dave made several mentions of the fact that this was their largest show on this leg of the tour, and the largest show they've ever played in Philly. Many of the songs were extended with instrumental sections; some only a few seconds, some several minutes. The setlist was almost perfect. The only songs missing that I would have liked to hear were I Should Have Known and Skin and Bones, but I guess they didn't have their violinist with them for this leg of the tour.

Bridge Burning
Rope
The Pretender
My Hero
Learn to Fly
White Limo
Arlandria
Breakout
Cold Day in the Sun
Stacked Actors
Walk
Monkey Wrench
Let It Die
These Days
This is a Call
In the Flesh? (Pink Floyd cover)
All My Life
---------------
Wheels (Acoustic)
Best of You (Acoustic)
Times Like These (Acoustic)
Dear Rosemary (with Bob Mould)
Breakdown (Tom Petty cover; with Bob Mould)
Everlong

Anyways, this is just about the same as the set I saw them do back in September. The only difference is we got Skin and Bones instead of Wheels. Nice pictires to, they certainly put on a hell of a show and don't give the fans anything to complain about. Which is a nice change from a lot of the set bashing that we do for some bands around here

I think he was pointing out that they used the Comic Sans font for their printed setlist.

I worked at their 2 shows at the Forum in LA and they played "Skin & Bones" the 1st night and "I Should Have Known" instead on the 2nd. I'm pretty sure they didn't have a violinist both nights either.

Yeah I was right... for Skin & Bones they used an accordian http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3K9_ACuJD_E

And here's I Should Have Known
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHcUXjfXqiM

But they didn't play Wheels either night, instead we got Long Road To Ruin (acoustic) and Miss The Misery. Oh yeah and they only played Let It Die on night one... other than that it was pretty much the same set. Just sucks they didn't play I'll Stick Around or Darling Nikki. I was hoping for Darling Nikki since they were at the same place Prince started his "21" concert series back in April. I put the quotes because he only played like 15 of them. Dave even talked about how much he loves Prince and how he saw him several times during that series and even how he got to jam with him during one of the sound checks. I remember hearing it too only it didn't notice Dave was there that day. When he brought up Prince I thought oh shit!... Darling Nikki! but nope
