Seriously why all the fucking hate for Lazarus A.D.?

Wahhhhh they put out a mid tempo, Melodic album, Wahhhhhh!!!!

It's a damn good album. Yeah Thrash purists will hate it, but real music fans can really enjoy it. I'm glad they didn't put out a pure Thrash album again, all of the new Thrash bands are doing that, and very few are standing out anymore, like Revocation, Vektor.

Don't get me wrong, I love Thrash. After Prog, Thrash is my favorite genre of Metal, but there's gotta be some variation in it. Hell, it isn't Metalcore, Nu Metal, or Djent. Somethings gotta be original at some point.

I dunno about everybody else, but I just cannot stand their vocalist. The music is decent, but the vocalist annoys the living fuck out of me.

Unless I've been missing out on the debates here. You're the first person I've seen say this. While I do understand why you would. As I've said ever since I got into Opeth back in 2004. Vocals are the last thing I pay attention to in a band. And it is super rare for me to not enjoy a band because of the vocals.

I felt the same way about Testament back in the day. I just could not stand Chuck Billy's vocal style when I heard The Legacy but, I loved the music. Once The New Order came out and I heard Trial By Fire, I didn't have a problem with it.

It stood out to me as generic radio rock. So, no. How do you go from The Onslaught to THAT?

I thought The Onslaught sucked too.

I think their vocalist is shit.

When I first heard "Thou Shalt Not Fear" I just could not get into it. I tried other songs and could not get into it. It just feels watered down.

Absolutely fucking not. South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss are melodic mid-tempo thrash albums, and they are amazing. Lazarus A.D.'s new album is radio hard-rock garbage.

I loved The Onslaught when I first heard it, but now it just sounds like groove-thrash-core to me. Not terrible. Solid.

Im glad im not the only one who didn't like their first album. My friends jerk off to these guys, i never thought they were anything special.
