Judas Priest -- Phoenix, AZ -- October 21st, 2011
So, I'll go through the good stuff first. Priest's performance was fantastic, they sounded better than 2005 when I saw them last. Halford's screams were spot on. The stage show was much better as well.
And now the bad...so because they played at the Arizona State Fair, apparently they couldn't have Thin Lizzy or BLS play. So that was lame imo since I was looking forward to see Zakk Wylde play live. Also, they had to cut out 5 songs from the set from some reason...including the Sentinel and The Hellion/Electric Eye. Maybe it was cause of the fact that you could get in with just a fair admission or the fair had a strict curfew. Either way I was really disappointed. I absolutely agree with everything you just said. Priest fucking killed. I don't give a shit about Prophecy and Turbo Lover but missing Electric Eye and The Sentinel was a bummer. Tickets for this show seemed to be quite a bit cheaper than the other shows on this tour so maybe that helps explain it.

Yeah tickets were cheaper but when I found out that there were no openers, I thought that made sense. But no.

That's a very unfortunate situation, but hell at least you saw some fucking Priest! Can't wait to see them next month

Some fairs are pretty strict with their curfews, so that's probably the reason for the short set. You still got Starbreaker, Victim Of Cahnges, Never Satisfied, Night Crawler and Blood Red Skies so all was not lost
 Also, state fairs are still going on in October
