Symphony X -- Bochum, Germany -- September 30th, 2011
Source: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/s...l#post10016275
Iconoclast End of Innocence Dehumanized Bastards of the Machine Electric Messiah When All is Lost Children of a Faceless God Heretic Inferno (Unleash the Fire) Of Sins and Shadows --------------------------- Eve of Seduction Serpent's Kiss Set the World on Fire (The Lie of Lies) Half decent set, I like the new album a lot so I would see this for the new material. I think they should drop 2 of the new songs, replace something with Reign in Madness, and not have 3 PL songs be the encore but oh well.

Terrible, terrible setlist, and it has absolutely nothing to do with starting the show with 8 new songs in a row, I'm honestly completely fine with that. My issue is the absolute snore-fest with the rest of it. Hello guys, you have songs prior to Paradise Lost besides Of Sins and Shadows, Sea of Lies, and Inferno. This is pathetic. I'm also honestly afraid to see how long this show would run. I guess in the case of this European tour it's not so much of a big deal because I'm sure DGM and Pagans Mind play great sets as well, but still, I'd be surprised if this is 80 minutes of music.

I'm really surprised that Smoke got dropped. Figured that was untouchable territory as well... Honestly I have a feeling that unless they decide to do a tour solely with old material we are never going to get the good stuff from pre- PL

Not a bad set. I'd pay $100 to see Pagan's Mind and SX together.
Any mention of Pagan's Mind's set list?

Yeah, this bill is worth paying top dollar for the whole package. Whatever Symphony X isn't bringing to the table, DGM and Pagan's Mind more than make up for.

I love Paradise Lost, but come on, they had a huge catalog to choose song why just focus on that album?
my setlist would be like this: Iconoclast End of Innocence Domination Bastards of the Machine The Eyes of Medusa When All is Lost Children of a Faceless God Egypt Inferno (Unleash the Fire) Of Sins and Shadows --------------------------- Sea of Lies Set the World on Fire (The Lie of Lies) Evolution I saw them in June a few weeks before the release of Iconoclast, they we're great, Mike LePond confirmed that they will return to southamerica next year, hope they change a little bit this, lack of balance is what I see here.

As someone who loves PL and Iconoclast... that's pretty awful as far as a setlist goes.

Symphony X needs to just grow a pair of balls, be a real band, and play "evening with" shows where they play 2 and a half to 3 hours. Seriously, they have the fanbase and the back catalog to warrant it. Even if it's just once in a while on special tours, the true fans deserve it.
