Regarding bands from Rites touring, the promoter announced that Mortuary Drape will do an east coast tour and Mournful Congregation will do some dates on the west coast.

wow...that's it? Are you guys paying for the bands' flights or something? Because I would think that these bands from overseas would have to do some other dates to make the trip here financially viable.

That's what we know so far. ROD is still a long way away.

Agreed, that's all that's been announced so far. He's mentioned in some updates which bands are exclusive but I haven't kept track. Plus, things could change. It's way early.

Aborted has dropped off of this fest due to a Euro tour with Decapitated.
BRUTAL TRUTH will now headline Saturday.

I would've been down to see Aborted, but I've heard mixed things about their live show and Brutal Truth's new album is great.

I believe that has happened for some of the bands in the past, or at least the foreign bands played very few shows (Blasphemophagher had 4 other dates, I think they ended up playing 2 of them) but I know there was some trouble with the transportation costs and flying issues after the fest last year (although I'm sure that's all straightened out this time around since the fest is on a whole new scale.)
MDF pays to fly bands out there, so I'm assuming it's somewhat typical for festivals to do that.
