Every black-metal-related act but Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir seem to "kind of" popular there, from what I hear...even Satyricon.

Samael, Strapping Young Lad, and Cathedral toured together in 2005(?). I am getting too old to remember many things. Seriously killer show!!

Samael and Dimmu coheadlined here in 1999, first US tour for both. I've seen Samael headline a couple US tours, always with very poor attendance.

Even Satyricon could not break the US market, although they tried hard. Not even commenting the quality of the bands...
Apparently, the manager of Samael and Moonspell has recently stated that he would avoid Eastern Europe in future touring. Even though I've been attending many shows in Western Europe, and situation is not much different: 300-400 people, even less...

I remember that. They played pretty early at the show I went to, but there were some big bands that played after them, Exodus, Suffocation and Repulsion. Not sure if there was anyone else between Repulsion and Samael.

I get excited when we get good overseas metal bands in the States. I had the time of my life at Rotting Christ/Melechesh/Hate. All three bands played tight, there were no shitty tour-whore openers fucking up the show, all the bands drank with us after, and the set lists were fucking killer.

Then I see this tour and remember we ain't shit!
