Yeah Jon Told me about it after the show. So I of course posted it online. and somehow the ProgPower message board got it (I don't have an account there, since I could never afford to go) and they were bad mouthing me calling me a liar and I'm full a shit, and just an asshole trying to start rumors.

Year and a half later, BOOM, "Wow that guy was right."

NOPE! Similar though.

I mean the albums Framing Armageddon and The Glorious Burned being retracked by Barlow and a live DVD.

They kept the Live DVD part, but had to scrap the retracking with Barlow.

Oh yeah, I remember that being talked about now. Always thought it was a horrible idea. Glad they didn't do it.

Jon rates Framing Armageddon above The Crucible of Man, so I can see why he'd want to do that.

Didn't Barlow actually track vocals for TGB before Ripper came into the fold? I'm pretty sure I remember reading that he did, and Jon scrapped them because he didn't like them.

Well that is very understandable. The Crucible Of Man had 2-3 good songs on it. Framing Armageddon was fucking incredible.

I would have loved to hear Barlow sing The Glorious Burden since the album was written for his voice.

The story is that Barlow wasn't feeling Iced Earth anymore and wanted to venture out to become a cop. His heart wasn't in the vocals, Both of them agreed on that. so that's why they were scrapped after Barlow's departure. Hence Ripper coming into the fold.

Barlow was in full force during The Crucible Of Man (despite the album) so hearing him on TGB, would have been great in my eyes.

Jon says that's not true. I asked him that regarding the songs on 'Dystopia'. He says he never writes for a voice, he writes songs how they need to be, and gets the singer to adapt to the songs.

Interesting. So does that mean he re-wrote some of The Glorious Burden then?

That makes me interested in Dystopia. I wanna see how Stu Block fits in Jon's mind.
