Summer Slaughter -- Montreal, Quebec -- August 10th, 2011
Because of border problems Six Feet Under was not able to play this date of the tour. At least we got more Dying Fetus (best band of the day in my opinon)! Also sadly, the sound for Fleshgod was shit: we could barely hear the guitars and we couldn't hear the keyboard.
During Whitechapel, we had a hardcore dancer stopping crew systematically shoving them and after a few minutes there was none of them left, which is kinda great! I was gonna go to the Toronto Summer Slaughter show for Six Feet Under but now I'm glad I didn't. I'd have been furious to find out they couldn't get into the country

Of all the many shows I've been to, this is one of the very few I've actually regretting going to. I was there to see Dying Fetus, Six Feet Under and Whitechapel. SFU didn't show up, I'm assuming problems at the border. I figured because of this, the other bands would get more time. DF did, they played 9 tunes and got about 38 minutes. I was happy w/ that, but fucking Whitechapel only played for 38 minutes as well, and they were the co-headliners (or main support, whatever). Bullshit. $42 ticket, $20 to park, $20 on gas, and getting to the venue took 130 minutes, and usually taked about 80. Pretty shitty night.
On a plus note, I filmed both Dying Fetus and Whitechapel. Both should be pretty good, but a little dark. YT clips as soon as my internet is working, on the computer at work right now. VOIDFLAME, we oughta meet up at a MTL show some time. Let me know the next one you're going too.

The only band I saw (or heard say they'd be) at their merch stang was Fleshgod. I hung around the area between sets cause I wanted to meet the dudes from Dying Fetus.

I noticed most of the bands members walking around the venue at various points during the day. I talked to Trevor of bdm and Anguilla of the dudes from darkest hour for a while. Jamey jasta was at our date of summer slaughter with kingdom of sorrow and I talked to him for 10-15 minutes.
Chris barns does a signing at the stops and I noticed most bands said they would be at the booth signing. Fleshgod apocalypse was at their booth the entire day after they played |

@HellAwaits: sucks, dude! I'm no exactly a 6FU fan, so I can't relate. However, Whitechapel didn't play at all my date, and Black Dahlia didn't even get a longer set.
I think with the ticket+parking+gas I only spent $35, so I feel for your wallet, too.

any thoughts on Darkest Hour on this tour? seems they get skipped over in almost all the reviews.
