Oh the perks of working in radio! Got free tickets and a meet and greet with the band after the gig, it was awesome.

I didn't know every song in the set (so I'm just gonna copy Jeff's list because I'm sure it was the same) but overall it was a lot of fun. Great venue, real fun setlist. The band sounded great and really seemed in to it.

I also came to the conclusion that the film version of the character Tyler Durden was based off Geoff Tate. The way he talks and his voice was exactly the same and they have the same kind of messages, hahah.

Also, in the meet and greet I asked Geoff about why the Trinity project had never taken off (Trinity was a project I heard Bruce Dickinson talk about in an interview when he put out Tyranny of Souls, which consisted of him, Rob Halford, and Geoff Tate, but it never took off). Geoff's initial reply was "Because Bruce is a dick." But he laughed and said he was kidding and that Trinity was just something the three of them had talked about over lunch when they were all on tour some years back, but that was all. He also said he and Bruce have different philosophy when it comes to writing music, hinting at that Bruce sometimes just wants to pump something out to make money, but Geoff needs to really be in to it to work on it. But he said no disrespect and all in all Bruce is a great guy and amazing singer.

Glad that "Bruce is a dick" was a joke. But Bruce and/or Maiden would not pump something out just to make money. Geoff and Queensryche on the other hand...

I doubt anything QR have done recently is really just to make money... not that it's been much good regardless of that .
