Of course I love Mayhem Fest, it has been my first concert in Mayhem 08 and I've been to everyone since then. And I do drink occasionally, but not in public places, cause, you know, I'm 15

I just bought tickets to take my cousin to see this show in Detroit. The one band on the lineup that I was really looking forward to seeing was In Flames. Now they've dropped off the rest of the tour. Fuck. So now all that's left that I know/care about is Red Fang and 2 or 3 songs by Megadeth.

Can anyone tell me who else among this line-up I should look forward to, and maybe who else from the "lesser" stages I should check out in advance?

On the small stages, you should check out Machine Head, Unearth, Kingdom of Sorrow and All Shall Perish. All great bands who are great live.

I get that reaction a lot. The merch girl for Hate was flirting with me(or at least it seemed.... women.) and when I told her I was 15 she spit her coffee everywhere

Machine Head, Kingdom Of Sorrow, Unearth, and All Shall Perish are the best of the side stages imo (especially the first 3)
