Dokken -- Atlanta, GA -- July 22nd, 2011
I got there about an hour after doors opened (show didn't start until 2 hours after it opened), and was able to walk right up to the front. A band called Great White Lion Snake (hints 3 names of different bands: Great White, White Lion, and White Snake) did nothing but cover songs. Were pretty decent at some of their covers and did a really good cover of "You've Got Another Thing Coming", and after them was Dokken.
Dokken took the stage and by that point the place was kind of crowded, but no where near sold out. They sounded pretty good live, and interacted with the crowd very well. Don explained several songs before they performed them telling why he wrote it or what it was about which was really cool to hear. Overall good show even without George being there! Was this a headline show? Seems like a short set unless they were opening for someone else. It is cool to see When Heaven Comes Down on the list.
No, and I don't think it is going to happen. They tried to work it out but apparently they couldn't get it done.

Mick Brown, Jeff Pilson and George Lynch will be doing they're own version of Dokken called Tooth And Nail. Jeff is doing lead vocals and album will be called "Dump The Chump" (Seriously I didn't make that up, google it).

I saw that actually. The Lynch/Pilson disc from a few years ago was pretty good so I will probably check it out. I hope they are not serious about the name of the disc though, ha ha.

Yeah, it was a headline show. They had a long guitar solo (which was pretty good) and a long bass solo (which was amazing) so that made the set pretty long. I over heard someone in the crowd saying the guitarist is Paul Stanley's nephew, can someone confirm that?

I think it's just easier to say "ego" happened when trying to describe Lynch and Dokken trying to get back together.
