Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Personally, I love Ultraviolet, and to be honest, I liked it even more after I saw them do it live in East Rutherford a few years ago. It was honestly one of the highlights of the set for both me and my wife. The light show was just incredible.


EDIT: How in the world could you not love this? I still get goosebumps just thinking about it...

Change that to "1980-1991" and you've got yourself a deal. Achtung Baby is one of their best albums, IMO.

And I agree, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me is not a very good song at all. I'm not sure why I liked it all those years ago.

My favorite song on the disc! Might I add that AB is my favorite U2 disc.

I became a fan of U2 when War came out and retro-actively bought Boy and October. I remember those 2 cassettes had the entire recording on each side, which I don't remember any other band doing.

My old cassette of Reign in Blood had the entire album on each side of the cassette.

My section sucked, a lot of sections sucked, not just for this song but for most. When you get a crowd of 70,000 or whatever in the US, people stand and cheer for Mysterious Ways and With or Without You, but the rest is just filler for them.

I'm sure the GA Floor was into it, but I was up high, and it looked more like something to do for the majority rather than being real U2 fans.

The performance itself was pretty good, they do play songs slower than normal nowadays, especially the older songs, but I honestly didn't care, it was SOMETHING.

Earlier in the night, Paul read from a setlist they played 30 years prior in NJ, and I think that sparked his mind into playing it. Springsteen was in the crowd and I think he wanted to keep pace with those who play 2.5 hour shows...

I was going to mention this, too. I think I had a few other metal cassettes where this was the case as well, but Slayer is the one I remember most.
