Lol, you're right Sanitarium78, I've never seen Slayer play Buffalo. So it must have been a LONG ass time since they've played Western NY.

There should be a masturbation smiley, cause this set really makes me horny! I just wish they were playing Postmortem before Raining Blood/Black Magic. That was my holy shit moment last time I saw them.

I believe the last time they were here on their own was when they toured for SITA. My older brother saw them on that tour. Unfortunately I was a little too young then to go. The last time I know of them playing this area was on the Clash Of The Titans tour in 1991 with Megadeth, Anthrax and Alice In Chains. Agian I was still a little too young for my parents to give me the OK to go

They should be due for at least one show here before they retire. After not playing the area for so long, you know that people will be eager to see them in Buffalo.

Who cares if the set has 25 songs? I care about quality, not quantity.

With that being said, this set is pretty amazing - Postmortem, Chemical warfare, Ghosts of War, Silent Scream, Seasons in the Abyss, along with other goodies (spirit in black, dead skin mask, hallowed point, payback, the Antichrist)

If Slayer was good live, I would die happy with this set

@JRA: I love Hell Awaits as much as you man, probably more actually, and it's pretty sad that in a 25-song set they won't play a single song from there, but you should just accept the fact that it's a rare occasion that they ever something from there (besides the title track, I dunno why they're not playing that) and be happy about the rest of the set.

I saw them in 2004 on a off-date from Ozzfest at Darien Lake, and that's near Buffalo, right? cause at the time I lived in Niagara Falls.

Yep. The Darien Lake amphitheater is about a half hour outside of Buffalo.

There were a few years in the early to mid 2000s where I lost touch with the metal world for a little bit. My interest in the genre wasn't really there for whatever reason. So i'm not surprised that I missed this. Where did they play?

Well, you said it was an off date from Ozzfest so i'm guessing they played a much smaller venue.
