Anyone from Toronto ever been to the Phoenix? I've heard as a venue for metal shows it's not the greatest.

Should we make a new thread?
Looks like it's an Arch Enemy headlining gig at the House of Blues in Chicago for me. Why does that sound so familiar?

"Tis a long way from a done deal, but that's the most likely date for me. Hopefully I'll be able to make it work, but the fact that it's on a Tuesday is a real potential deal-breaker. That'd mean my wife taking off work and me taking several days of vacation, and although this is a damn good tour, I don't know if it's worth the trouble - especially because I've seen Arch Enemy before (obviously ), and I might be seeing Skeletits in Cleveland on July 27. I can always see ChthoniC some other time.

By the way, you should go to that Obscura / Skeletits show at Peabody's. That's going to be a badass show, and you fucking well know it.

Oh hell yes! I just realized I don't have band practice on Tuesdays so I should be able to go (again depending on my budget)!

Without a doubt I'll be there. It's my most looked-forward-to show this summer. I'm just pumped to finally catch Skeletonwitch; they always come by me but the shows have always been 21+. And Obscura headlining..

It's not a bad venue. I saw Overkill there last year and they sounded awesome, but that's Overkill -- they always sound awesome. Come to think of it, I saw Down there a while back and they also sounded great so maybe it's a good venue for metal bands. There are lots of different bars there too so it's always easy to get a drink.

I wouldn't really call that offdates.... Looks more like a mini-run, either before or after the tour.
