I am going to go with thrash but I love pretty much all metal except for Power and most Black.

I'm pretty sure when this poll was put up, I voted for Death Metal. But now I would probably be the only one here to vote for Doom. I've really been getting into Doom and all it's subgenres alot the past year, and I love it.
I've lost track of just about everything.

My tastes have evolved as well, I'm definitely more of a Death, Progressive fan these days! Death and Opeth have been flying up my alley as of late, as well as the subsidiaries, Cynic being another major hitter.
Yesterday don't mean SHIT.

Out of the ones listed, I would pick Thrash, but recently my favorite genre of metal is blackened death metal I don't think I've ever listened to a blackened death band I don't like; hell, most of the ones I listen to I end up loving

I have something from every metalgenre in my collection, but if I have to choose... Thrash, very closely followed by Heavy.

My favorite genres are Heavy/Traditional, progressive and thrash. Sludge metal is good too.

Death Metal makes up about half of my music library, that's definitely my favorite genre. And about 20-25% of my library is thrash. Those are the two big genres for me. The next biggest for me is probably progressive, then heavy/classic, and then a tiny bit of black metal and grindcore.

I've acquired a taste for more progressive metal bands this year so that genre is starting to get bigger for me.
