Unhappy Fifth Angel's drummer quits!

Quote:
Drummer Jeffrey McCormack has announced his departure from reunited '80s metal cult act FIFTH ANGEL.

Said McCormack in a statement: "I want to thank all of the incredible FIFTH ANGEL fans all over the world that were so accepting of me as I stepped into the huge gap left by the extraordinary Ken Mary when FIFTH ANGEL reunited in February of 2010.

"FIFTH ANGEL were my heroes since 1987, and it was an honor to be a part of their first-ever performance at Germany's Keep It True festival last year [see video at source], but sadly, some things just aren't meant to be.

"It is extremely difficult to leave something I dreamed for many years of joining, but I believe it is for the best.

"I have no immediate commitments, but am definitely looking for the right opportunity to get back out there and rock with you all again [as soon as possible].

"My best wishes to FIFTH ANGEL in their future endeavors."

In addition to FIFTH ANGEL, Jeffrey McCormack was the drummer for HEIR APPARENT and NIGHTSHADE.

Bands interested in contacting Jeffrey McCormack can do so by writing to jeffreymcdrums@hotmail.com.

That's really too bad. Even though it shouldn't be too difficult to find a new drummer for them since they're songs are a bit simple. Still, it will delay them in recording their new album.

I had their first album back in the 80's and liked it quite a bit. I was unaware they had re-formed.

Anyone asking "who" was not paying attention in the first 10 of my "100 Albums" Thread. The first (only?) two Fifth Angel albums are absolutely great - classic metal at its finest. VERY underrated.

I lost track of them after the first album, but in the last five years I checked out their second album and it has some great tunes on it as well.

My favorite

I dunno. I had a listen to some stuff after this thread got started and it's pretty ordinary stuff. Seems better produced than a lot of what was being made at the time, but in terms of the songs and music, nothing to get excited about.
