"Slaughter Survivors" Tour Summer 2011

Its official now:

Conducting From the Grave
The Contortionist
Scale the Summit
Rings of Saturn
Volumes
Structures

Personally, I wouldn't mind hitting this up, since I've been dying to catch the Contortionist, and Scale the Summit is always incredible live. CFTG isn't that bad either, so I would probably enjoy myself. Fuck Rings of Saturn, and Volumes/Structures = meh. Why Scale the Summit is on this is beyond me.

Depending on what places the tour hits, my friend might want me to go with him. So in that case, I will finally see Scale the Summit!

I'm sure kids on FaceBook will be saying this is better than actual Summer Slaughter, and the Rim Job of Shit should headline.

This tour has a pretty decent lineup minus Rings Of Saturn and Volumes. I would consider going to this if it comes around here.

In the end, I will pay whatever I can whenever I can and sit through whoever I have to in order to see Scale the Summit.

This.

And I really want to see The Contortionist live. I'm liking the newest Conducting from the Grave album too. I would go to this. Who would be the headliner in this lineup?

Conducting From The Grave is the headliner.

Well, it would be better if Scale the Summit was headlining, but it's not a big deal. CFTG is pretty good too.

Scale should be headlining, but in the end they're not really "metal" metal. Nobody is gonna mosh to them or anything. Kids who haven't heard them would probably leave if they were the last band on the bill. This opening spot is good exposure for them, they need the widest audience possible to hear their music.

That being said, hopefully they can play some tunes of Monument or Carving Desert Canyons, since last time I saw them they played songs almost all off of the Collective. In the end, I believe they have enough music under their belt to headline a tour, and I will be first in line when they do.

*crosses fingers for a STS/Animals as Leaders tour someday*
