I beat it twice. I wouldn't say a completely different vibe but it is definetely more fast paced then the first one. I was dissapointed when I realized that the games is only about 8 hours long because I expected it to be way longer when I saw it was on 2 disc (it might only be on 1 for the ps3 version).

Yea I was very surprised when I saw 2 discs I have never seen a 2 disc game for 360 before....

anyway I had a lot of fun with DS2, I like that we have a character we can give 2 shits about....looking forward to the single player DLC coming soon

Final Fantasy 13 was on 3 disc, but that game actually takes 50 hours to beat. I think with DS 2 they just did it to eliminate loading screens. What they did with Isaac this time around was probably my favorite part of the game as well. I like how DS 2 is the only game where the protagonist is actually suffers from PTS after slaughtering hordes of aliens and nearly dying 100 times.

I agree 100% I am glad they expanded Issac from a faceless nobody in DS1 (still a great game of course) into a full on person with extreme problems; my favorite part (and not to give away anything) was his "return trip" that level was freaky as all hell

I don't know, it just was nowhere near as creepy as the first one, IMO. I did get a good laugh out of the ending, though.

And the PS3 version is on one disc and includes Dead Space: Extraction. (Blu Ray muthafuckas!)
