Although I like some deathcore a lot, ABRB is a band I've never been able to really get into. They just kind of wank all over the place with guitars then breakdown, not with much structure. Whatevs...

First of all, Whitechapel's vocals are much, much better. Phil's lows are pretty beastly, rooted very much in death metal. I would argue also that especially in This is Exile, the song structure was more mature than just chugging and ridding mindlessly. I don't know how to describe it, but they're a better band musically.
