I saw them in Dallas 2 months after this show.

Motorhead and Overkill were the openers.

I saw that tour also but because I am old I can't remember the exact date. However, I may still have the stub.

This was my first time seeing Motorhead. I remember all the press and people saying how loud they were live. After they played I said that was pretty loud. Then Slayer came on and brought loud to the stratosphere! Overkill was pretty awesome also. I remember they played Head First!

^ What he said. I also saw this tour (but in Cleveland, obviously), and Motorhead was indeed fucking loud...but Slayer was absolutely INSANE.

EDIT: Based on the tour dates on www.slayerized.com, it would have been November 9, 1988 at the Cleveland Agora for me. To this day, this show still sticks out in my memory as having had one of the biggest, most violent pits I've ever witnessed in my life.

My brother saw Monsters of Rock Open Air here in Moscow in '91 with Metallica, AC/DC, Pantera, and the Black Crowes.

Saw this show in Miami. great show, Motorhead were great as well. Got to meet all of motorhead and get pix and they signed my Ace of Spades album cover. Philthy Phil was the most talkative and hung out with the 3 of of us for a little here and there as he came and went from the venue.
We didn't get At dawn they sleep or fight till death. we did get Necrophiliac and I am pretty sure the Anti Christ. . Also part of Haunting the Chapel but they stopped about 30 seconds into it and I remember Lombardo standing up and throwing his sticks into the crowd as if he was pissed.
