Machine Head to enter the studio to record the follow up to 'The Blackening'

http://vdob.blogspot.com/2011/02/mac...studio-to.html

The band enters the studio in April. A few songtitles revealed if you click the link.

For the record, this is the most anticipated album of the year. Seriously, how do they try to top The Blackening?

Funny, I didn't know this thread was about "Deconstruction."

That aside, I've never really gotten the hype over Machine Head or the Blackening. They're not a bad band, but I can't get into them and really don't see what everyone loves, I guess.

Can't wait to hear the new stuff, curious to see how it's going to sound though if we're not supposed to expect "THe Blackening 2".

x2. I'm a big Machine Head fan, and I really enjoyed 'The Blackening'. But so many people blew out of proportion how good it was.

It was very good, but I remember reading a few articles where so called "metal experts" (most of them wouldn't know metal if it ass-raped them in a back alley in Newark, NJ) were comparing it to all-time metal classics like 'Master of Puppets', 'Peace Sells', Rust In Peace', 'Reign in Blood', and that irritated me. It doesn't belong in the category of those classics. Just my opinion. Don't wanna piss anyone off.

I'm not going to lie, there was a long period of time in my life where The Blackening was my favorite album that ever came out. The CD changed my life, basically...So i'm interested to hear what they come up with now. I'm not nearly as into Machine Head now as I used to be, but I feel like they can come up with something solid.

The blackening is great and i can see why people put it up there with those classics. Imo its better than reign in blood.
